WUFI (Condensation Risk Analysis)
In June 2010, John Morehead qualified as a WUFI user in Cardiff University and is one of only a few individuals in Ireland in a position to carry out a hygrothermal (condensation risk) analysis of multi-layer projects to BS EN 15026.
A WUFI analysis is calculated to predict moisture transfer in multi layer components of a building fabric such as an external wall or roof construction etc. This is a valuable tool during the design stage of a project to reduce condensation risk. It can also be used on existing buildings to assess if and why mould growth or condensation risk is likely to occur and how the likelihood of this happening can be mitigated.
