Dripsey Passive House project update

Cork insulation being installed

Dripsey Passive House project update

An update on our Dripsey Passive House project, with Whitebon Developments.

The project involves the upgrade and extension of a period property. The insulation and airtightness work to the original stone building are progressing nicely. All products being used are natural, low embodied carbon and breathable. The SecilVit Cork ETICS system is being applied externally. Supplied by Stoneware Studios, this is a breathable and sustainable external insulation system, using lime-based adhesives and plasters. Internally, the Diasen Diathonite plaster has been installed as a base layer and is now ready for the breathable gutex woodfibre dry lining system. Both systems were supplied by Cork Builders Providers via Ecological Building Systems and all works are being carried out by Novin Consultants. The airtightness works have been carried out to a high standard of workmanship by Don Creedon, using proclima products, again supplied by CBP via Ecological Building Systems.
