Sports Hall at Collins Barracks

This development comprises a new purpose built sports facility located adjacent to an existing obstacle course within Collins Barracks, overlooking the City with commanding views. It provides comprehensive facilities for all gym sports, multigym activities and aerobics. The development has encouraged a revision to the overall circulation within the Barracks with the creation of new vehicular and pedestrian routes linking a series of new facilities and car parking areas.

The main gym is unique in that the design concept required a structural solution spanning the long axis of the gym. This was realised and enabled the even distribution of north lighting over the entire games area reducing glare and shadow areas.
