We’ve had an airtight March!

The end of March marked a milestone for two of our latest Passive House projects under construction near Midleton and in Killarney, with both achieving fantastic preliminary airtight test results!

East Cork Passive House

This house features externally insulated masonry wall construction and an insulated foundation system. Careful consideration of all interfaces, has resulted in an impressive 0.40 ACH @ n50. Credit to Tom O’Donovan of ODL Homes.

Killarney Passive House

Built with high-quality off-site timber frame construction by EcoTimberSystems, this home has achieved an outstanding 0.42 ACH @ n50.

Both projects are well within Passive House airtightness standards (max being 0.6 ACH @ n50). We can’t wait to see both projects come together over the summer. Stay tuned for more updates!
